Copyright Classroom is a service originally created by the Finnish organisation Kopiosto rf. and is managed in Ireland by ICLA. Users of the online service are required to observe these terms of use as well as copyright legislation.
The term ‘service provider’ hereafter refers to ICLA.
The term ‘service’ hereafter refers to Copyright Classroom in its entirety, including individual materials available on the website copyrightclassroom.ie or within the Copyright Classroom service.
The content of the service and its parts are protected by copyright. The service provider holds the copyright to the content of the service and its parts.

The material may only be presented publicly or otherwise made available to the public in connection with educational activities. The user is permitted to print material for educational purposes or for personal use. Copying and using the material for purposes other than those allowed in these terms of use, as well as transferring the material to a third party, requires separate permission from the service provider.
To link the Copyright Classroom service or an individual page within it to another website, or to generate a database, prior permission from ICLA is required.
The user is liable for any damage caused to the service provider or a third party in the event of non-compliance with these terms, legislation, regulations, or good practices.
The Copyright Classroom web service is offered as-is, and no warranties for the service or its functionality are provided. The service provider is not responsible for possible interruptions of the service due to, for example, maintenance work, technical errors, or other similar reasons, nor for interruptions in telecommunication or internet connections. The service provider is not liable for damages caused by the functions of the service or the non-functionality of the service.
The service provider is not responsible for direct or indirect damages to the user or a third party resulting from any errors or deficiencies in the service or arising from the use or interpretation of information on the service.
The service provider is also not responsible for whether the service can be applied or is suitable for any particular use.
The service provider is not responsible for the content, materials, and services on pages produced by third parties and linked to on the service provider’s pages.
The service provider has the right to change the content, functionality, and these terms of use of the service if the changes are necessary for the development of the service or for any other justified reason. The service provider also has the right to discontinue offering the service at any time.
Disputes related to the use of the service shall be submitted at first instance to mediation under the Mediation Act 2017. In the event of an unsuccessful mediation, the parties may agree to submit the dispute to arbitration under the Arbitration Act 2010. The terms of use shall be governed by the laws of Ireland and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
