Can a student create a collage using images or parts of images they found in magazines or online?

In principle, the use of images and their individual parts in a collage requires the creator’s permission. ICLA’s copying licence allows copying and use of images in teaching and in students’ exercises and school/college work provided the original creators and sources are acknowledged, and the work is not published or made available outside the teaching group.
